Blazers!!
I  know they look it but these are not actually the same colour!! The low blazers are more a blue than grey...

Scrummy Food!!!
Was sooooo stuffed after this!

Hey lovelies!! How are you all?

Hope you had a fabulous week and weekend. I know I haven't posted for a few days but that's because I was super busy before having Friday off work to go to Edinburgh for the weekend. I've never been before but I really enjoyed it. Had some fabulous fun with the boyf - as always (xxxx).

I didn't take too many pictures in the end because on the first day it was raining quite a lot and there were also a lot of road works interfering with the view. That and my poor camera quality just made it too tricky really but I did take a couple of mobile pictures for you as you can see above...

Loving that the boyf made me buy two pairs of trainers (I have been building up to buying some for a while and couldn't decide so I got two cos the boyf said he'd buy one pair if I got the other. Love my boyfy xxx)

I got to wear my new ASOS Aggie Boots that I purchased last week too. I was so excited that they arrived before I went away and they were just what I needed for my meals and drinks outfit below.

ASOS Aggie (Beauts) Boots!

Also - it's my birthday tomorrow!!! Yay! I love birthdays, but booo - I am now on the wrong side of 25! Eeeeeek!! I'm off to have a meal tomorrow night which will be fun. Hopefully I will get some blog interesting presents to share with you!!

xx

No, but it's not all bad at all.  Some of you may not be familiar with this tan - as it says on the bottle, it's exclusive to Tesco and it is only £5.99.

Pros

It is tinted so you can easily see where it has been applied.
The initial moisture of the product dries relatively quickly.
It doesn't smell as much as some of my other fake tans.

Cons

It is difficult to rub in without feeling you have left it streaky.
The colour is quite light.
It leaves you feeling slightly tacky even though it feels like it has dried in.

Overall I don't want to be negative about this tan as I feel that would be totally unfair.  It is a cheaper tan and you get what you pay for.  That said, I find that this tan leaves me a lot less dry on the skin than some of my more expensive ones!  It's not as smelly but it really does come down to the colour for me and this one just isn't dark enough.  On me it applies like a dark gradual tan, which is what I would use between tanning days so that definitely isn't dark enough for me.  If you are fair though this may be perfect because it's not too dark.

I would say worth  try at the price but won't be everyone's favourite.

Asos Aggie Tan Boot £22 here (<---link)

So I am still no closer to finding a dress for the ball.  And I just don't want to have to go trying a load on. Plus I am more concerned with what I can wear during the rubbish English weather!!

I didn't sleep very well last night so I was tired and miserable today.   Lack of sleep and me do not go well.  So I bought some boots.  Why not.  I am off to Edinburgh for my birthday this weekend and I wanted something I could wear that was casual with a heel.  They are suede so they are going to get ruined because I will be wearing them and it will be raining.

Such is life.

There were £22 from asos!  Link is above.

I love them and cannot wait for them to arrive!!!  Will be throwing them on with my parka jacket and michael kors brown nyc memories tote bag!!

(PS.  apologies to all those that have already seen these on instagram!!)

Ball Outfit Ideas...

Hey Lovelies,

So it's that time of year again when I obsess about what to wear to the summer ball.

I always look forward to it but the close I get the more I panic.  The main problem is that I am a short girl with a big chest for my frame so usually long dresses are too long and ill fitting on me. So I steer clear of them.

I do however still love the idea of a proper ball dress.  Usually I wear cocktail dresses and as much as I love them and they are more me I always lust after the fancy frocks the girls wear.

So I have been trying to inspire myself by planning possible options for shopping ideas.  Here is what I have come up with.  Personally, my favourite is the one on the left - which is actually a skirt and top (underwear top!).  Even though this is long it still feels more me.  It has the more neutral colours overall with a pop of orange which is one of my favourite colours when I have got a tan.

What do you think ladies?  Which would you go for?

Outfit - top from new look, accessories primark!
Makeup - foundation was MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC30 and Estee Lauder Double Wear in Fresco, MAC Mineralize Powder, Bobbi Brown Concealer, Benefit and Bare Minerals Bronzer, 17 Blush,  MAC Lipstick in Cosmo, Benefit Bad Gal Lash

Ok, so I don't really think I looked as good as the title would suggest but I wanted to play tribute to Kanye and Jay Z by quoting a line from the Watch the Throne album seeing as this is what I wore for the Watch the Throne MEN concert on Tuesday.

It was IMMENSE.  I don't know why it surprises me every time I see them how good they are but seriously, at one point me and the boyf were laughing about how crazy ghetto we went and the fact that everyone around us seemed so calm in comparison! haha!

Love that about concerts - I literally don't give a sh*t about what people think I must look like dancing and rapping like a crazy girl.

So so so glad I went - we were up in the nose bleeds in the worst seats I've ever been in during my whole concert going life time and it still didn't matter because it was so good.

Anyway, I am totally rambling!  Did anyone else go??  I want to know who my fellow Jay Z and Kanye blogging friends are!!!

As most of you now know, naturally my hair is pretty curly and because I no longer have it chemically straightened, it's a bit of a battle to wear it straight.

It takes a good hair cut, lots of products, and a good initial blow dry.

You see, if I straighten my hair from curly, or just blast dry and then straighten it my hair just looks dry and flat.  Not a look I am going for - obvs.

Therefore it is really important that when I wear it straight I get a good blow dry in first and seeing that I am doing it myself I like to make it as easy as possible!!

Which means a good brush.

My recent brush is now a few years old and needed updating so when I was offered the chance to review the GHD Ceramic Vented Radial Brush I snapped up the opportunity as I am a GHD straightener user and have used some of their hair care range over the past 10 years (eeeek - old much!).

This is another GHD product that didn't disappoint!  It makes drying nice and easy and makes my hair nice and smooth and shiny.  I wouldn't say that it sped up drying time but I think that is because I am still getting used to it - my previous hairbrush had a much thicker handle and this one is definitely thin!!  It takes some getting used to with my clumsy hands!!

I do really like the finish it gives my hair though, it makes it really easy to then straighten - which is hard at the moment because i need a good cut!!

I would definitely recommend and think it is totally worth the money as it's hard wearing too (I had it in my travel case against my makeup bag and it didn't disfigure the bristles at all which is very good!)

I've recently seen on a couple of blogs that some of you girlies are using shampoos and conditioners from the Organix range so when I spotted a travel size version in Boots last week I thought I would give them a try.

I have washed and blow dried straight and washed and left to dry naturally curly also.

I found that the shampoo doesn't lather as much as others I have but that it will lather up after a bit of hard work.  The conditioner does leave my hair feeling nice and soft.

I am addicted to the smell for definite and my hair feels really nice and soft so I like that about it, but what I would say is that when my hair was straight it was very fluffy.  So a little frizzy and static.  I have decided to see if it is as a result of the styling products I have used afterwards as my hair can be like this when straight generally so I will keep you posted.

I really want to like this range however I have seen very mixed reviews online and therefore I am not entirely convinced I will be completed convinced.  It will really depend on whether I can get my hair to calm afterwards!

Does anyone else use these?

I am literally going to start this by saying the following...

THIS IS AMAZING

Some of you might remember last year when I had this done and reviewed on YouTube and here (<----link).  What you will remember is that I was really disappointed with this.  The results were not impressive.

This time however I absolutely LOVE the results.  It's like what they look like after I spend 5 minutes curling them from straight to curly each day and better.  They have really nice lift and curl.

I will definitely be getting this done again.  Definitely.

It cost £25 and is totally worth it. Like Shellac, it is one of those treatments I can't imagine living without haha!

The only downside was that my bottom eyelashes ended up some how involved in the process and curling upwards!!! Disaster definitely but I just trimmed them right down, because it is worth it for top curly lashes and eyelashes grow back pretty quick!!

What do you think?

Does anyone else have this done?

And just to clarify - my eyelashes pointed downwards they were that straight before!

So the boys is watching the football -  booooo!

Boringness.

So this afternoon/evening is one of surfing the net looking for holiday inspiration!  So much more fun than watching the football haha!

These beauties are from Forever 21 and are just gorgeous.  Now I know there are some truly bikinis out there but there is no way I am spending a fortune on two bits of material that are going to get covered in suncream, sand and sea.  What is the point!?

So these are perfect as they are soooo cheap.  They don't come to more than £15 so it means that I can wear them without worrying about ruining them!!

There are loads of other cheapies on the F21 website too in case any of you ladies are also going away - and good news - you can buy the top and bottoms separately! Result for me with my bigger chest!! haha.

Blessedly Rich Lipglass
Orange Tempera Lipglass

I don't know why but I am presently loving MAC Lipglasses.

I hadn't really been into them before - I am more of a lipstick girl really because I hate the whole hair stuck to my lipgloss look but having rediscovered some previous purchases and also recently purchasing the beautiful Hey Sailor Orange Tempera I am hooked!!!

What I love is that just like their lipsticks, MAC's colours are great and strong, you don't need to add 50 layers just to get the deep shade you want.

They also look really good over your lipsticks and alone, and as you can see above - fab for mixing together!

I predict more future purchases!!

So there is nothing like getting your nails done to cheer you up when you're feeling ill.

The difficulty this time though was what colour to have - I mean the weather is vile so a summery one is out but then I didn't want a dark wintery one either!

So I opted for what I like to call 'Lady' nails!

A lovely French polish. It was a teeny bit more expensive but only by £3.

Hoping that I don't get bored of this one! The pink I had last time got annoying and didn't last well either!!!

Top - Warehouse £10 (sale)
Shorts - Therapy £35

So recently I have been feeling horrendous - bad cold, non-stop coughing and generally fed up.

Sadly I still feel pretty much the same and after a 10th night of no sleep I am just glad it's nearly weekend so I can do nothing again.

I hope I am ok for next week though as I am going to see Kanye West and Jay Z!! Better not be ill for that.

Anyway , do you ever have moments where you are just like who cares if it doesn't go together I want to wear it anyway!?  This is one of those.

I really like clashing prints at the moment, although I think realistically these are too clashing.  So no, I didn't go anywhere dressed like this.

Incidentally I actually like both items separately though.  The top would work for work or casual with jeans, or on a night out with a mini.  The shorts would work with bare legs and a grey cut out vest I reckon.  So I like them anyway!

I don't know about you ladies but dry shampoo is like my lifeline!

No one has time to wash their hair every day unless they have super manageable hair and lots of time I feel. That's not to say your hair doesn't get a bit ikky the day after your wash.

It's so tough being a girl because you want to make sure you look clean etc, but life doesn't always allow for it, so this is where the dry shampoo comes in.

Usually I use Bastise or Tresemme, but I thought I'd give this one a go.

It's great, works as well as my others, doesn't feel drying as doesn't leave a horrendous white dusting on my head! I love that these brunette versions are now available - I've ended up making my hair worse in the past and thought WHY DIDN'T I JUST WASH IT!!

Thankfully this problem is averted with this.

I'd definitely recommend this dry shampoo, it stops your hair from looking greasy and smells nice. It is a little steep though at just over £6.

With that in mind I will be sticking to Tresemme or Bastise I think because it can get used up pretty quick!!

What's your favourite dry shampoo?

Purchase at Boots (link) for £4.99

Every now and then I like to raid the drugstore makeup isles and go bargain hunting.   Technically, it's only a bargain if a product is good, but there is something about going to all the stands and picking up a load of different items for a lot less than you would in Selfridges for example.

So not so long ago I did just that and this primer was one of the items I came away with.

I do like the idea of primers, I have used a few that I have liked in the past but usually they change the formula and it means it no longer works as well (in my experience).

This primer is meant to 'help you achieve picture perfect preparation' for your makeup.

So what did I think?

I'd say that this primer is average to good.  I would recommend it if you were new to primers and wanted to try them out on your skin.  This primer evens out the surface of your skin.  It glides on and dries in pretty quickly to leave a smooth even surface for application.

I don't notice a difference however to how my makeup looks upon application and that is something I really like about other primers.

Also, I would say that this makes my makeup last a little longer, but on the whole I still need to touch up on the t-zone after a few hours.

I do use this, however it's not good enough to make me want to use it daily, but for £4.99 it's probably worth a try if you have normal skin.
